Co$$ - Love Is

The third video from Co$$'s debut album "Before I Awoke". Song written by Co$$ and produced by Chief. "Before I Awoke"' was released June 2011 and is available on CD, Vinyl and digital. This is one of my favourite song from that album.

Oddisee - After Thoughts

Take a kaleidoscopic journey through the memories that float in our mind's eye in this new video from Oddisee. The song "After Thoughts" is a haunting and wistful instrumental that reminisces through an assortment of days in dreamlike fashion. After Thoughts is from Oddisee's upcoming instrumental project (his first since Rock Creek Park) titled "The Beauty In All". About "The Beauty In All:" "The Beauty In All is about the flaws & mistakes that give life its character and worth - how even ignorance can give light to knowledge. For me, not knowing how to do something & still trying is a process that helped my production style evolve. If everything we are is out in perfect tutorials, we might never deviate from the teacher. This record is dedicated to imperfection and the sense of pride & accomplishment we get from our struggles. Hopefully, you listen to this record, reflect on the ups & downs of life, and see the beauty in all."

O.B. & SaFE -- You & I (Prod. By Reese Jones)

Paterson, NJ rapper and M.O.B. Stars leader O.B. presents the Jimmy Giambrone-directed music video for "You & I", the Reese Jones-produced first single from his forthcoming album Celestial Offerings. "You & I" features fellow M.O.B. Stars member SaFE. "The song was inspired by a need to bring back that competitive edge in hip hop," says O.B. "Not a lot of rappers at the time of its conception were delivering a lot of wit and aggressiveness while still being lyrical. We sought out to do just that and remain extremely polished at the same time. The video deals with the concept of 'In A Perfect World'. In that world, people, particularly women, wouldn't stray from very lyrical, intellectual hip hop. In fact, it would be essential and a part of their daily lives just like a lot of the mainstream stuff is. We wanted to show people who were just as dedicated to our music and by doing so, breaking the taboos surrounding underground and indie artists." Celestial Offerings drops November 30 featuring J Nolan, Culture Kev, Dano B. Picasso, Bretagne, RaCharm, Arkutec, Bravestarr, QB Da Problem, Kingshon and Nu Vintage.

Mic Crenshaw - Superheroes (Feat. Dead Prez)

Mic Crenshaw and Dead Prez debuted their collaboration 'Superheroes' this past spring, hitting #2 on rapattacklives single charts. Now they return with a powerful music video to go with it. Directed and produced by Payam Sadri and Kevin Hasenkopf of Salmon 109, the video speaks to the true everyday “Superheroes” that support their families, guiding them to help tackle the current and future problems facing the planet. Mic Crenshaw, born in South Chicago, is one of the definitive Hip Hop Artists to grace the Northwest. Crenshaw spent his formative years battling the emergence of white supremacist gangs in the streets of Minneapolis. Now as a musician, he uses his music, time and resources to help inspire others to take positive paths in their lives. Crenshaw’s non-profit; Global Fam has help to setup and support a computer center in Burundi, central Africa. Over the past six-years, the center has educated over 800 locals with computer skills. Burundi shares a history and border with Rwanda, and is one of the fifth poorest countries in the world. The center is now thriving, and is expanding both in size and services.

Moe - No Holds Barred

New Orleans rapper Moe presents the Erik Bartney-directed music video for "No Holds Barred", the Automatik Beats-produced single from the third volume of his mixtape series Is Anybody Listening, which features beats from Humbeats and Trackanometry. Born at Charity Hospital - the same hospital as Lil Wayne - both his parents were incarcerated by the time he was 6, leaving him in the care of his grandmother. Moe was writing rhymes by the time she moved him to Los Angeles a few years later, "often times rapping about my parents," he says. "No resentment lyrics though, just my thoughts on the situation." A few school expulsions later he was back in New Orleans, playing basketball and recording the songs that would lead to 2012, the year he dropped a staggering four mixtapes. "My inspiration for the song was everything that transpired in my life during that period," says Moe. "From getting put out and having my family turn their back on me, to leaving New Orleans for New York to pursue music and just all the emotions I was feeling at that point."

Natti (of CunninLynguists) - Architecture (Feat. Sha Stimuli & Substantial)

The second single from Natti's 'Still Motion' gets a visual treatment. Watch as Natti, Sha Stimuli & Substantial reluctantly admire the drug game, the music industry and the institution of education. Three systems that, more often than not, prey on it's participants and are specifically designed for them to fail.

Eminem - Survival

New Eminem music video, not bad.

ScHoolboy Q - THere He Go

I think I missed this so I'm late on posting this.

Molecules (of The Legion) & Showbiz (of D.I.T.C.) - Revenge

A super rare track by Molecules of The Legion with production handled by Showbiz of the almighty Diggin' In The Crates collective. "Revenge" was recorded back in the spring of 1995 and appeared on a sought after Japanese only D.I.T.C. CD album and a poorly pressed bootleg vinyl. "Revenge" is taken off The Legion "Lost Tapes" EP, dropping November 2013 on Ill Adrenaline Records. The EP features production from Buckwild, The Legion, Showbiz, and Confidence and will be available on CD/LP/cassette and digitally.

The Godfathers (Kool G Rap & Necro) - Heart Attack

As a pioneer of Mafioso Hip-Hop, Kool G Rap is often cited by fellow emcees and critics as one of the most influential and trend-setting rappers of the past two decades. Whether as a member of the ground-breaking Juice Crew, or his classic LP’s with DJ Polo, G Rap’s influence still resounds today as evidenced by Pusha T’s “King Push” where he name drops the Queen’s emcee “rage against the machine/black Zach De La Rocha/and a cranberry roaster/inside track on a G Rap poster.” Likewise, Necro has also carved out his own very unique standing in the industry, whether it was playing guitar in a metal band at the tender age of 11, rhyming alongside his brother Ill Bill, producing his own material and for artists such as Non-Phixion, Cage, & Raekwon, or creating his own Independent label, Pyscho-Logical Records, which has thrived for over a decade now and released over two-dozen projects (including nine of his own). Necro has toured the globe many times over, been a participant in some of the genre’s top festivals (Rock The Bells & Paid Dues) and even created his own film production company. Kool G Rap & Necro have now joined forces and on 11-19-2013 will be releasing a collaborative project as “The Godfathers” entitled “Once Upon A Crime” which will be released on SRC/Pyscho+Logical Records. Today, they release the first video, “Heart Attack,” from that forthcoming project.

Stack$ - On The Road Again

Stack$ has music flowing thru his veins and his entire life has revolved around it as his Father managed Sly & The Family Stone & Peaches & Herb and he even co-produced Gladys Knight & The Pips smash hit “Midnight Train To Georgia.” A Miami, FL resident, Stack$ cut his teeth in the industry at a very young age, as he ran with the Cash Money click writing and producing tracks for Lil Wayne and a host of other Cash money artists; which would eventually lead to writing and producing for artists such as Diddy, Game, Fat Joe & Twista (among many). Stack$ recently released his latest mixtape, The Snowball Effect, which is now available and it includes collaborations with Nelly Furtado, Pleasure P, Urban Mystic, Nu Jerzey Devil, Charlemagne The God, MDMA & Jack Thriller & production from Scott Storch.

Since the duo disbanded in 1997, there has been no new OK material and every few years or so the usual "reunion rumors" emerge and then disappear.

Ivan Ives - Higher (Feat. Aaron Marsh)

Russian born/bred L.A. resident Ivan Ives presents the self-directed music video for "Higher", the Aaron Marsh-produced new single from his new album Stranger. Ivan Ives originally stepped into the hip hop world in 2007. Rolling Stone named him among the next 40 artists to watch; SPIN called him one of 8 top unsigned artists; and XXL said "don't let his indie rocker persona fool you - this guy can spit." He's worked with the likes of Cappadonna (Wu-Tang), Tre Hardson (Pharcyde), Percee P & Oh No (Stones Throw), The Cool Kids, Black Milk, O.C. (DITC), Vast Aire (Def Jux), Ceschi (Fake Four Inc), and many more. Having gone to film school, he directs most of his own videos - which have racked up over a million streams on YouTube without major distribution. "Aaron and I wrote the song at his studio in Lakeland, Florida," says Ivan. "It's a pretty weird song with alternating off-kilter time signatures, so it was really fun to work on. I wanted the video to reflect the uniqueness of the song, and so we tell a disjointed story about an astronaut lost in space or his own mind."
