Rapsody - In The Town (Feat. Nomsa Mazwai)

Earl Sweatshirt - WHOA

Im not liking the "whoa" that's been put randomly in the song but aside from that this is cool and funny song.

AZ - Thank You

2013 is officially starting off with a bang for AZ, as the Grammy-Nominated Recording Artist, makes his return to the Hip-Hop scene with the release of his highly-anticipated new LP Doe Or Die II, which will be released later this year. AZ wet the appetites of fans for Doe Or Die II in early January with his “Genesis” freestyle. Since the release of the Doe or Die anniversary album in 2011, AZ has been working to perfect each song for the new album; and fans will definitely be pleased with the follow up. AZ first became known by appearing on Nas' landmark 1994 album, Illmatic, as his hook on “Life’s A Bitch” still resounds today and he was also featured on Illmatic’s opening opus “The Genesis”. AZ was the only guest feature on Illmatic and soon thereafter he signed with EMI and released his own debut LP Doe Or Die in 1995 to widespread critical acclaim. The album's lead single, "Sugar Hill", became one of AZ's major commercially successful records as a solo artist, reaching #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and achieving Gold status. In 2002, he released Aziatic from which his single "The Essence“ f/ Nas was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. AZ has since released four solo-LP’s (his solo release Undeniable also made a high debut on the Billboard charts) and worked with artists such as Nas, RZA, DJ Premier, Ghostface, Raekwon, Pete Rock, Buckwild, Trackmasters, Emile, Lil Fame, Phonte, Sheek Louch, Styles P, Foxy Brown, Beanie Sigel, Nottz, Large Professor, Bink, MoSS, & Statik Selektah and remained a constant staple with fans and critics alike. Today, AZ is back and better than ever and is readying his forthcoming Doe Or Die II release.

Ricky Rude - Hold Me Down (Feat. AR-AB)

With influences ranging from The Fugees to Nirvana, Ricky Rude is quickly making headway as the troubadour of South Jersey, blending his eclectic tastes into a style all his own. Developing his lyricism though lengthy freestyle sessions and local battles, Ricky quickly gained a buzz in his home state, leading him to work alongside notable producers such Cardiak and Cool & Dre. As a songwriter, Ricky doesn’t hold any punches, crafting songs of ambition and perseverance from an honest perspective, often leaving listeners with a transparent view of the rebel MC’s psyche. Earlier this month Ricky teamed up with Philly trap star AR-AB for the buzz worthy single “Hold Me Down." Today, Ricky has released a set of visuals to accompany the hard-hitting track. The video features Ricky and AR trading rugged verses alongside luxury cars and beautiful women. "No Guts, No Glory" is slated to include features from Scarface, AR-AB, Apollo The Great, and Liz Rodriguez, as well as production from Cardiak and Cool & Dre. “Hold Me Down” is now available for purchase in all digital retailers.

"Instant Gratification" will be available for free download in April.

Kyle Rapps - Watch Out

Harlem emcee Kyle Rapps is bringing low budget multimedia visuals to a new level of griminess and fun factor. The quirky green screen-meets-photoshop platform portrayed in his videos is both artistic and hilarious, and is a welcomed departure from the fashionista and weedporn swag that the new New York scene is becoming known for. As a result, Rapps has garnered the attention and cosign of some higher profile artists such as Action Bronson, Mr Muthafuckin' eXquire, and Murs, who are all featured on his mixtape "SUB" which drops this May. Show promoters are also taking note as last month Kyle was tapped by Live Nation to play a Vice Records showcase at Santos Party house with Bodega Bamz, and A$AP Twelvyy

Moe Pope & Rain - Spit vs. Ramo (Feat. Reks & Dua Boakye)

Moe Pope & Rain release the video for “Spit vs. Ramo” the fourth video off ‘Let The Right Ones In’ (via Brick Records) which features guest vocals from Reks as well as Dua Boyake, the lead front man of Bad Rabbits. ‘Let The Right Ones In’ is completely sample-free and features guest appearances from an eclectic range of artists including John Robinson, Lady Lamb The Beekeeper, Ceschi and more. Pope & Rain’s follow up to 2010’s Life After God is “a hip-hop record that revel[s] in both joy and pain, rap and rock and everything in between,” said Martin Caballero of The Boston Globe. “The beats bubble with a seductive underlying tension that blurs the line between the upbeat and the morbid”

Beneficence - Reality vs. Fiction (Rock On!)(Feat. Masta Ace & Total Eclipse)

Just when you thought you were safe, Ill Adrenaline Records strikes again! Beneficence, Brick City veteran and longtime Artifacts affiliate, returns with a banging album coming off the success of his critically acclaimed "Sidewalk Science" (2011) album. After 17 years in the game and numerous collaborations with top-notch producers and emcees, Beneficence drops his 5th solo album entitled "Concrete Soul". Sticking to the true formula of golden era antics, Beneficence brings a stellar line up of guest appearances including heavyweights like Billy Danze (of M.O.P.), Masta Ace, Roc Marciano, A.G. (of D.I.T.C.), Grap Luva, Rampage The Last Boy Scout, El Da Sensei and many more. Your eardrums can enjoy witnessing soulful and hard-hitting boom bap beats courtesy of Buckwild (of D.I.T.C.), K-Def, Confidence (of Rashad & Confidence), Da Beatminerz, Gensu Dean, 12 Finger Dan, Presto, Molemen, just to name a few. "Concrete Soul" displays slick, thought provoking rhyme styles from smooth laid back joints such as the K-Def produced "Cold Train" (feat. Grap Luva & Rob-O) to rough and rugged Billy Danze featured "Art of War". The album brings a soul street element that's been missing from nowadays hip-hop music, along with plenty of dope cuts, samples, and pure satisfaction for true school hip-hop heads worldwide who are still in love with that authentic and raw 90's sound.

Nametag & Nameless - Hookless (Feat. Mahd)

Nametag grew up in Detroit’s east, west, and north sides, constantly being shuffled around with his mother to avoid repercussions of his father’s drug addiction. He dealt with the familial struggles and nomadic lifestyle by burying himself into his notebook, penning lyrics about his experiences and drawing inspiration from legends like Rakim. He quickly became the latest member of a family chockfull of R&B and gospel vocalists, rhyming with his friends and relatives such as his cousins, Black Milk and Black Beethoven and he got involved in Detroit’s hip-hop history early, and in a big way: his first placement was on Slum Village’s ‘Dirty District Vol. 1’ compilation. From there, Nametag continued to body other Motor City classics such as Slum Village’s Dirty District Vol. 2 & his cousin’s Black Milk’s ‘Popular Demand’ and ‘Caltroit.’ But while contributing to others’ artist’s projects, Nametag continued to build his own footing with a collection of critically-acclaimed mixtapes, EPs and a full length album, ‘The Name Is Tag’; which eventually earned the respect of indie rap heavyweights and publications such as XXL, 2DopeBoyz, Detroit Free Press & more. With appearances by Motor City vets (Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, Miz Korona) and youngsters (Mahd, Jahshua Smith) alike, ‘For Namesake’ continues to cement Nametag & Nameless as one of Detroit’s fastest rising talents.

Quelle Chris - We Eat It (Feat. Cavalier)

A few months back Quelle Chris signed to a multi-project deal with Mello Music Group. As Quelle prepares his debut proper for later this year, the prolific producer/emcee (who is most famous for his work with Danny Brown, Sean Price, and Roc Marci) decided to put together a new project with some of his peoples: Cavalier, Fresh Daily, Tanya Morgan, Denmark, DJ GroWeyez, and more. The result is 2Dirt4TV Ep. 2: "Niggas Is Men", a 13 track album dropping digitally March 19th. After the first School Daze inspired single LONG TOKES dropped last week, Quelle and company put together a video for the track "We Eat It" featuring Cavalier. Through a smokey horn sample, Quelle and Cav talk that socially conscious rap about GMOs, Hydrogenated oils, and the poisonous wasteland our daily menu has become. Quelle Chris not only raps, but produces the track, and edited the video as well. Enjoy the latest visuals and prepare for "Niggas Is Men" to drop next week!

GQ - The Town (Prod. 9th Wonder)

They say it’s different across the bridge, and there is something definitely different about GQ. In the words of 9th Wonder, simply put, “he’s a star”. GQ, who Grammy Award winning producer, 9th Wonder, coins his “secret weapon” is not only a former NCAA basketball champion, but in fact Oakland’s next Hip Hop hero. Born and raised in Oakland, California, GQ (also known as Quentin Thomas) found his passion for music at an early age; nine to be exact. Influenced by a wide array of music genres and artist, the young GQ became a fan of lyrics and started to pen his first rhymes; all while training to be a college hoops star. In 2004 he was recruited by Roy Williams to play for the University of North Carolina’s storied basketball program; and was a member of the 2005 National Championship team his freshman year. Some years later, and already a champion of one passion, he was well on his way to being a champion of his other - rhyming. GQ signed with 9th Wonder in 2009, one of the last artists to join the budding Jamla roster, which has grown to be one of the most buzzed about indie labels today. Of the multi-talented emcee, 9th Wonder says, “he isn’t a basketball player that can rhyme; he is a rapper that can ball.” His style is passionate, controlled, lyrical and he is a master of telling the gritty, dark tales of the place we know as “OakTown”. In 2010, GQ was featured on EA Sports’ NBA Live 10 video game, alongside Mississippi’s own, David Banner. The following year, the Oakland emcee released a few singles, and a three-part mixtape series, entitled “Blended”, before unleashing his first project under the Jamla imprint “Trouble Man.” Currently, GQ is setting up for a big 2013 introduction with his two part release, “Death Threats and Love Notes”, the prequel and his debut album. GQ’s “Death Threats and Love Notes: The Prelude” EP features guest appearances from Nipsey Hussle, Kurupt, Rapsody, Heather Victoria and production from 9th Wonder & The Soul Council. GQ’s “Death Threats & Love Notes: The Prelude” EP will be released On 3-26-2013 via Jamla Records.
