"Southsiders" is another good release from the past year. 2014 has been a good year for hip hop.

Apollo Brown - Detroit Cypher (Feat. Ras Kass, Red Pill, MarvWon, Miz Korona & Noveliss)

While West Coast legend Ras Kass was recently in Detroit with Apollo Brown they called together some low key D legends - MarvWon, Noveliss of Clear Soul Forces, Miz Korona, and MMG's own Red Pill of Ugly Heroes. Director Jay Brown captured the whole thing, and put together this 6 minute highlight of the late night session. Apollo Brown recently released his newest project Blasphemy, a collaborative effort with legendary Los Angeles emcee Ras Kass, known for his 1996 critically acclaimed debut album Soul On Ice and as a main fixture of L.A.'s hip hop scene. Today, Huffington Post Detroit premiered the latest in Apollo’s video cipher series, “Detroit Cypher,” and along with Ras Kass, Apollo Brown enlisted an all-star cast of Detroit's underground for the newest edition in his video cipher series, which includes Red Pill, Noveliss, MarvWon, and Miz Korona.

Bilderburgh - Sour Lounge

The Pittsburgh, PA collective known as Bilderburgh consisting of Crumb, Blender, Traxx, Raspy and Rambo are set to release their debut album, Speak Easy, on 11-11-14 courtesy of RBC Records. The five-man collective consists of past War Veterans, Blue Collar workers and Underground Hip-Hop aficionados whose tracks reflect their personal and group trials and tribulations through stories of combat, interpersonal relationships, alcoholism and their never-ending admiration for Hip-Hop culture; that binds them all both in and outside of the booth. Speak Easy features an eclectic blend of some of the groups primary influences representing the factions of the Wu-Tang Clan, Army of Pharoahs, Slaughterhouse, Gold Chain Military and more with guest contributions from Canibus, Planet Asia, Timbo King, Reef the Lost Cause, C-Lance and Crooked I. Coming off of last weeks Crooked I assisted first single, "Written Agreement", Bilderburgh continues their plight to the top with the leak of "Sour Lounge" off their forthcoming 11-11-14 debut Speak Easy on RBC Records. Follow the Pittsburgh Quintet through their trials and tribulations brought on by their love for spirits on the new release "Sour Lounge".

Reks & Hazardis Soundz - Fear Of God (Feat. Knowledge Medina & High Collide)

Reks & Hazardis Soundz collaborative album, Eyes Watching God, displayed an uncanny chemistry, as they linked up to create a concept album which showcased the contrast between “good and evil” beginning with a “God Side” and finishing with a “Devil Side”; and the result is a highly conscious and fiercely political album. Produced entirely by Hazardiz Soundz, Eyes Watching God also features guest appearances from N.O.R.E, Saigon, Fredro Starr, Termanology, Ruste Juxx, Dutch Rebelle and others to add to their cause. Reks releases the visual for, “Fear Of God,” which is an iTunes exclusive track and features Knowledge Medina and High Collide.

Redman - Caviar Gold (Feat. Kurupt, Bingx & Dr. Zodiac)

Who better then Redman and Kurupt to advocate for the "The Strongest Medicine On The Planet”? Caviar Gold’s musical compilation will feature names such as Wiz Khalifa, E-40, Kurupt, Bone, Redman, Snoop Dogg, Crooked I & Techn9ne.
