Apollo Brown - Detroit Cypher (Feat. Ras Kass, Red Pill, MarvWon, Miz Korona & Noveliss)

While West Coast legend Ras Kass was recently in Detroit with Apollo Brown they called together some low key D legends - MarvWon, Noveliss of Clear Soul Forces, Miz Korona, and MMG's own Red Pill of Ugly Heroes. Director Jay Brown captured the whole thing, and put together this 6 minute highlight of the late night session. Today, Huffington Post Detroit premiered the latest in Apollo’s video cipher series, “Detroit Cypher,” and along with Ras Kass, Apollo Brown enlisted an all-star cast of Detroit's underground for the newest edition in his video cipher series, which includes Red Pill, Noveliss, MarvWon, and Miz Korona.

Ugly Heroes (Apollo Brown, Verbal Kent & Red Pill) - Desperate

Somewhere between poverty and fame - is the rest of us: Ugly Heroes. We're regular people doing what we've got to do to get by. That might mean working dead-end jobs; it might mean drinking a little too much; it might mean thoughts of petty crime. For many without a rope to hold onto to, without a way out to make that move, we wonder what we're supposed to do. It's enough to make you desperate. Chicago MC Verbal Kent and Detroit spitter Red Pill lay verses over Apollo Brown's moody introspective soundscape for the new visuals from director Brandon Damon which premiered earlier this morning on Chicago site "Fake Shore Drive". Take a second to listen.

Has-Lo - Hindsight (Prod. Apollo Brown)

One of our favorite East Coast emcees Has-Lo, has a new video remix utilizing new footage, new filters, and new angles for the Apollo Brown remixed version of the song Limit, now titled Hindsight. The new version from Apollo is a striped down and haunting affair that puts Has' man on the edge lyrical display in focus. The occassion? MMG is getting ready for an early fall release of Has-Lo's critically acclaimed debut mmg album "In Case I Don't Make It" on limited edition 180 gram vinyl. Has-Lo is also busy preparing a new project with North Carolina emcee Castle for release on Mello Music Group later this year.
