Black Dave - Take It Back

It's one of those videos that an artist always wanted to do, but never got the chance, so this has been a special project for Dave. Dave wanted to do a day-in-the life portrayal, paying tribute to the music videos of the early 90s, with the classic cameo-filled summer vibe approach. Sharing a mutual love for the 90s era, we decided to continue with the same look and feel of "Motherfuck My Enemies!", which was an homage to 1995 KIDS. Because of that video's success, we were lucky enough to work with Leo Fitzpatrick, who plays Telly from KIDS and Pete Bici, who was one of the skater kids. Instead of playing skaters, they were casted as law enforcers, essentially completing the cycle of adolescence and passing the torch on to the next generation of New York skaters - Dave and The Stone Rollers. "With this video, I just wanted to share the day in the life of myself, and New York City skateboarding. Bringing the viewer into my world, but making sure to pay homage to the New York City skateboard culture. Teaming up with director Jason Ano, and having Peter Bici and Leo Fitzpatrick who were actors in the original film KIDS that had a profound effect on my life and many other kids, and I just wanted to recapture that story and share it." - Black Dave
